Used most notably by the United States Navy s Sea, Air, Land Teams ("Navy SEALs") and the United States Army s 24th Infantry Regiment.
The 24th Infantry regiment was deployed to Iraq as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2004, and the "Deuce Four Skull" was painted on the walls of buildings where the regiment killed enemy combatants; the symbol became a fearsome calling card for the regiment.
Navy s SEAL Team 3 used a version of the Punisher Skull as made famous in the movie and Book American Sniper the Story of Chris Kyle (if you have not seen or read the book PLEASE DO) and painted it on their gear.
