Diving and working in extreme conditions demands consistent and lasting performance from all equipment. Demanding environments require the absolute best technology. So we ve developed a range of knives to specifically perform under pressure.

After our steel is hardened we apply a hybrid metal-ceramic compound to the blades. This compound is known as Titanium Carburo Nitride or TiCN. TiCN improves edge holding, corrosion resistance, makes the blade sharper, and is literally applied one atomic layer at a time.

Victory s TiCN coating is extremely hard and was carefully developed through a series of laboratory and field tests to determine the best combination of properties to improve the cutting edge durability and corrosion protection of the blade

About our proprietary coating:

• The modified near-surface structure is 5x harder than the standard hardened blade steel, with significantly improved corrosion performance
• The ceramic coating is about 1-2 microns thick and offers particular benefits in edge holding of the serrated blade teeth
• The coating is atomically bonded to the blade material and will not chip, crack, deteriorate or discolor in contact with sea water
• The process used to apply the coating is called Physical Vapor Deposition ("PVD") and it is performed in a vacuum chamber at elevated temperature
• The metal used (titanium) is elevated by an electric arc and mixes with the ionized gasses (Nitrogen and Acetylene) in a plasma to form the ceramic on the blade surface literally one atomic layer at a time

Depending on personal preference, Victory Knives is making available to you two different ways to carry their knives. Victory knives can be bought with either a Leg Sheath (straps included) or a Harness Sheath (carabiner included). This particular knife comes with the leg sheath.

You will find these knives being used in a variety of the toughest marine applications.
