Distinctive Styling Meets Efficiency and Convenience

The Thule Hyper Cargo Box features a completely new blend of style, efficiency and convenience. This new design is clear to see in the box s outer shell. The box mixes the black or silver colors often used singularly on cargo boxes, creating a distinctive silver "X" pattern on the lid against a black base - all done in a high-gloss automotive finish. The shape of the box is also distinct. This patented Thule AeroNose shaping, combined with Hi-Flow base technology built into the lower section of the box, reduces drag and allows air to more easily pass between the box and your roof. Along with the quieter ride that cargo box users long for, AeroNose technology also provides the possibility of better gas mileage due the drop in drag. In addition to this, the Thule Hyper also features a patented rear-angled exterior base and expanded vehicle mounting points within the box. The angled base provides extra space between the box and open hatchbacks and trunks, while the expanded mounting points allow the box to be mounted further forward or back on an installed rack. Taken together, these last two points allow it to maintain a slim, low-profile that maximize storage space while maintaining scratch-free trunk and hatch clearance.

Perfect Tension Through AcuTight Mounting Hardware

When it comes to ease of mounting, the Thule Hyper cargo box is tops in its class as well, featuring a perfect fit to virtually any rack through patented AcuTight mounting knobs. AcuTight mounting knobs are ergonomic, and require no tools to secure Hyper cargo boxes to load bars of all shapes through raised slits along the bottom of the box. (Open slits are covered with a rubberized strip to keep out moisture) And unlike other mounting components which require guesswork, AcuTight mounting knobs always provide just the right amount of tension, audibly "clicking" -- similar to a gas cap -- and automatically stopping applied tension when you reach optimal hold to ensure your box is secured to the rack.

Ultra Convenient Dual-side Box Access and Use

Another built-in convenience feature of the Thule Hyper cargo box is dual-side access, which allows you to get to your gear whether you are on the driver, or the passenger side of the vehicle. Once the box s is open, a light integrated into its interior automatically turns on, making it easy to use in all lighting conditions. While the box is in use, internal lid lifters keep the lid open for hands-free access - and when you are done, simply pull one of the cables hanging from the interior of the lid for easy closing. Thule SecureLock technology ensures that all edges of the lid are completely closed, and included One-Key lock cylinders ensure that it stays that way. The Thule Hyper is intended to fit all manner of vehicles, and as such falls within Thule s XL size category, providing 17 cubic feet of storage space. Thule will warranty all Thule brand car rack systems and its accessories manufactured by Thule during the time that an original retail purchaser owns the product. This warranty terminates if a purchaser transfers the product to any other person. No warranty is given for defects caused by normal wear and tear, cosmetic rust, scratches, accidents, unlawful vehicle operation, or modification of, or any types of repair of a load carrier system other than those authorized by Thule.
