This Modular Canister Filter can be added into your existing canister filter to provide additional filtration capacity. When added in front of the main filter, it can be used as a mechanical and chemical filter to reduce the trouble of cleaning the main filter and also make the main filter s biological filter media last longer. When added after the main filter, it will provide additional biological filtration capacity. This Modular Canister Filter can be used with SUNSUN/GRECH HW-302, HW-303/B, HW-303/B, HW-402/B, HW-403/B, HW-504/505, HW-602B/603B; or any canister filter with hose I.D. of 1/2 or 5/8 inch. Multiple Modular Canister Filters can be connected together to provide your desired combination of filtration capability. This Modular Canister Filter can be used by itself. You can connect your pump and hose to it to build your own canister filter. Flow control valve on each inlet/outlet to let you decide best flow rate. Also can be shut off completely during cleaning and maintenance. A set of sponges of different pore size: coarse, medium and fine, are provided to catch the smallest particles while maintaining higher water flow rate. Or you can add your own choice of media to gain additional chemical and biological filtration. Water pump and hose are not included.
