You can change a number of video settings through this app. It does night vision, you can adjust your brightness and you can change the standard of the video. In standard vision, the default, it is in real time and pretty good. When you change to HD you get a better video but there is a lag. For real real time you want to use the standard. You can snap pictures through the app of what is being videoed. This camera has both a microphone and a speaker. You can hear sound in the room with the camera through your phone or device and you can also speak through your device and have that come out the speakers in the camera.
