Description
The D1 is an ultra-compact magnetic drilling machine that can cut holes up to 1-3/8" in diameter in material to 2" thick. The D1 is incredibly lightweight at only 22 lbs. Its maintenance-free rail guide system eliminates alignment issues, minimizes run-out and reduces cutter breakage. The D1 is equipped with an electromagnetic Energy Saving Base (ESB) that uses only 50% power when the motor is not under load, dramatically increasing the operating life of the electromagnet. The D1 is also equipped with a Magnetic Field Shape Control (MFSC) system that provides maximum holding power on thin material, down to ¼”. A Magnetic Power Adhesion Control (MPAC) module detects the adhesive force of electromagnetic base to insure adequate holding power for safe operation.
