This replacement recliner handle is designed to go on the right or the left side of your recliner, depending on the type/design of your Lazy Boy recliner. It has the star shaped opening at one end of the handle(see images), (which is usually for the earlier style Lazy Boy recliners). We have also included a new, 1" inch set screw that we have sprayed with a rubber coating to insure a snug fit when tightening it to the internal mechanism that operates the foot rest. We incorporated wood grain when molding the new handle to give it a more natural wood appearance. We have improved the star shaped insert made from aluminum which is much stronger when tightening the new handle onto the chair mechanism.
