The PCTVB series bypass distribution amplifiers will boost your digital TV and HDTV signals, increasing their overall signal strength. The PCTVB series bypass distribution amplifiers can be used in HDTV, CATV, off-air, analog and digital RF distribution applications where high performance and reliability are required, but are specifically engineered for use in cable telecommunications networks providing cable telephone services. The PCTVB series bypass amplifier will have a port that is specifically marked as the "bypass port", frequently by saying "To eMTA" on the label. This port is specifically designed for the cable modem or the MTA (Multimedia Terminal Adapter - the device cable operators use to provide cable telephony service). This ensures that emergency telephone calls can be made even when power is lost.
