The new NESCO VS-12 Deluxe Vacuum Sealer gives you the ability to choose what settings work best for the food you are sealing. Choose from regular for firm items and gentle for softer foods. Sealing choices of dry, moist and double.
The pulse vacuum option is great for sealing delicate items like buns and bakery. Simply press the manual seal button to double seal when you have reached the desired vacuum level. Features a double vacuum pump for optimal performance and double line seals for added strength.
Clear viewing window in lid and tab guides for better bag material positioning and sealing. Also has a bag roll storage compartment and a bag cutter.
Accommodates up to an 11.8" wide bag or roll. Unit includes one roll of bag material 8.7" X 9.85 and one roll of bag material 11" X 9.85 .
Vacuum Sealing Tips:
Do not overfill the bags; leave enough space at the open end of the bag so that the bag can be placed on the vacuum chamber more positively, about 3 inches (76mm).
Freeze fruits and blanch vegetables before vacuum packing for best results.
Hot liquids need to be cooled before vacuum packing. Hot liquids will bubble up and over the top of the bag when vacuum packed.
Partially freeze meats before sealing.
Store perishable foods in the freezer or refrigerator. Vacuum packing extends the shelf life of foods, but does not preserve them.
Pantry items such as flour, rice, mixes for cakes and pancakes, all stay fresher longer when vacuum packed.
Keep camping supplies such as matches, first aid kits and clothing, clean and dry.
Fill a bag about 2/3 full of water, seal the end (don’t vacuum). Freeze the bag and use for ice in the cooler or ice packs for first aid.
