Our MICA are selected especially for soap making.
They are not coated in food colorant, so they will not bleed in MP soap. . However, our Apple Red MICA contains Carmine and will bleed in MP soap.
Except Chelsea Grey, and Satin White, the rest are lab developed MICA which is also called synthetic mica. They are made in a lab. It s purer and thus brighter than natural mica. It has a more uniform finish which does not contain any sharp edges. And it is not associated with the child labour when it comes to how they are sourced.
We decided that synthetic MICA is better and more ethical option for us and will continue sourcing synthetic MICA.
