The MEL-CF1 (Micro Effects Light, Candle Flame) is a small LED candle simulation LED for theatrical hand held props and other flame lighting effects projects. The candle flame spectrum light is well matched to true candle light spectrum giving a warm glow. The kit includes a 6 mode flicker effects control with 10 flicker speed steps. The kit operates from a 9-volt battery making this a simple configuration for portable props. The battery and control can be easily concealed within a costume sleeve or into a prop lantern or large candle stick prop body. The light output is equivalent to the flames of approximately two wax candles. The light spectrum is continuous with rich yellow, orange and red spectral content. The wide spectral emission provides a much more realistic appearance for flame simulation than the use of monochromatic LEDs. Battery life is expected to be more than 12 hours when operated from a new 9-volt battery. The overall length of the assembly is 20 inches. The size of the MEL-CF1 light head is 0.48 inch diameter ref and slightly under 2 inches long to top of the candle dome. The FEC1 (Flicker Effects Control) remembers the flicker setting and speed when the power is removed or the control s on/off button is used. This kit will also operate from 12 volts DC for fixed lighting prop and scenery applications.
