Labomed FACA-301/ISE Fully Automatic Biochemistry Analyzer with ISE Module, 300 Tests/Hour

The Labomed FACA-301 fully-automated biochemistry analyzer with an ISE (ion-selective electrode) module uses random-access testing and a direct reading system to perform chemical analysis on serum and urine. The ISE provides integrated electrolyte testing for measuring Li+, Na+, K+, and Cl-. It has a halogen lamp with a 340 to 810nm wavelength range, and performs up to 420 tests per hour. The instrument has a 60-position sample tray for primary tubes and sample cups, and a 1 to 100μL sample volume range in 0.1μL increments. Automatic pre- and post-dilution processing ensures consistent results between users. Up to 40 parameters can be tested simultaneously. The reagent tray has 40 positions and an onboard refrigeration system that cools the reagent chamber to 90 degrees C below ambient temperature. The reagent volume is 5 to 350μL for reagents 1 and 2. The analyzer uses liquid reagent. Automatic reagent delivery and dilution prevents operator error and ensures consistent results. The optical unit has a 340 to 810nm spectral wavelength range with an accuracy of + or - 2nm, and a bandwidth pass precision of + or - 5nm. The absorbance range is 0.000 to 2.500 Abs. A nine- to 12-position filter wheel has eight pre-installed filters. Independent washing stations for each probe and mixer and the eight-channel cuvette washing station prevent cross-contamination. A waste classification and collection system automatically separates waste into separate containers for safe disposal.

Available tests include glucose, blood urea nitrogen, creatinine, total cholesterol, triglycerides, total bilirubin, total protein, albumin, globulin, aspartateamino transferase, alanineamino transferase, alkaline phosphatase, chloride, calcium, phosphorous, sodium, potassium, gamma-glutamyl transferase, high-density lipoprotein, low-density lipoprotein, lactate dehydrogenase, creatine kinase, magnesium, uric acid, non-esterified fatty acid, amylase.

The analyzer has on-board memory to store test results, calibration and patient data, error-logging, and absorbance curves. Reports include single test, complete sample, worksheet, methods and QCs, calibration curves, kinetics, patient reports, and continuous printing. The instrument requires a connection to a PC (sold separately). Included software is compatible with Windows XP, Vista, and Windows 7. The unit is 33.5 x 28.35 x 21 inches/85 x 72 x 53cm, and weighs 198.5lb./90kg. It has a 220VAC, 50Hz mains.
