The Kestrel Portable Vane Mount can be coupled with any Kestrel 5000 series meter, including a Kestrel 5500, which creates a data logging weather station capable of tracking changes in the wind direction and speed, then tracking them with your data point memory log. The Vane Mount attaches easily to the Kestrel Portable Tripod (or any tripod) to add directional measurement capabilities to your Kestrel Meter and create a complete, hands-free weather station you can easily pack into remote locations. Together, the Kestrel 5500 and Vane Mount weigh less than 8 ounces (227 g.) and pack into a compact 2 x 6 inch (5 x 15.25 cm) case. The Vane Mount comes with a zippered padded case that holds extra batteries, the mount and your Kestrel meter. This kit is made in the USA and backed by our 5-year warranty.
