Five strangers escape to the islands to put the wind back into their sails. While there, they become the Island Dogs. Island Dogs is a novel for the mixed and muddled masses. It is a story about five beleaguered souls, who continue to hope for a better life after watching some of their dreams slip away while others crashed and burned. When these five beaten down strangers try to pick up the pieces of their shattered lives, they find themselves taking refuge in the Caribbean. While trudging on and dealing with the troubles of life, they become a rum soaked version of the Island of Misfit Toys. Before the islands, they were the educated and dimwits. They were rich and poor. And they were socially connected and social outcasts. After landing in Anguilla, they become each other’s support group and best friends. For better or worse, they become the Island Dogs.
