For a more permanent solution, the jig can be mounted to a board along with 2x4 s for added support for panels. The fixed drill guide spacing is designed to drill 2 holes with the correct spacing for 2-inch wide material. The i1 jig does have the capability to drill other material thicknesses from 1/2 inch to 1-1/2 inch by following the detailed instructions.
