I Still Know What You Did LastThe sequel to I Know What You Did Last Summer takes place one year later. Julie s (Jennifer Love Hewitt) roommate Karla (Brandy) wins a trip for four to the Bahamas. With their boyfriends in tow, they take the vacation, on which it becomes obvious that someone still knows what they did last summer. The music that accompanies the film is a smorgasbord of current pop styles, bright dance pop, electronic drones, and light doses of hip-hop. Summer star Hewitt delivers "How Do I Deal?," a slick pop confection with the requisite buzzing of alternative guitars and expertly layered vocals. Orgy perform New Order s "Blue Monday" with the addition of 90s technology to boost the song s ominous, android quality. Deetah s "Relax" incorporates a sample of Dire Straits "Why Worry." Grant Lee Buffalo seem a tad out of place with the straight-ahead rock of "Testimony," which sounds surprisingly modest amid the glittery hue of the rest of the material. --Rob O Connor
