The "HitchCam" by Practical Motorsports mounts to any standard 2" trailer hitch receiver and contains a high quality back-up camera featuring the unique ability to turn the parking guidelines on/off. Safety is improved by providing better visibility behind your vehicle to reduce the risk of backing incidents. These are manufactured in the USA to a very high quality using grade 6061 aluminum and TIG welded for maximum toughness, then powder coated semi-gloss black for excellent looks and durability. The face plate measures 3" wide, 3" tall, and 3/16" thick with rounded corners and the snout contains two 5/8" diameter mounting holes on either side to ensure proper fit with most receivers. It utilizes a standard 5/8" hitch pin or custom hardware (neither are included). The back-up camera features 170 degree high definition wide-view color video, 648x488 pixels, anti-fog glass, low power consumption, water/shock proof, and low illumination for night vision. Both the video (RCA) and power cables are included. The video cable is 32.7 Feet long. The power cable connects to any 12V source, however, the back-up lights are recommended so the camera only turns on in reverse. The camera arrives with parking guidelines in "disabled mode", but these can easily be turned on by cutting a small wire. For those using a monitor with built-in guidelines, or if you simply prefer no lines, this feature is a must! The camera is manufactured in China but tested by me personally for proper function and orientation prior to shipping. Detailed instructions are included, including supplemental instructions (written by me) explaining how to install the camera, toggle the guidelines on/off, and switch the orientation between front and rear.
