The Havahart Remote Trainer Extra Collar only works with the Havahart Remote Trainer. Unlike many remote trainer options, the Havahart Remote Trainer can operate two collars, training two dogs at once (with Remote Trainer Extra Collar). Additionally, each collar can be set to its own static correction level, allowing flexibility for the temperament of each dog. When you press the Correction button, a static stimulus is sent to the collar and a correction is delivered. If you wish to use tone only to control behavior, simply press Warning. Your dog will hear a tone and will begin to associate the tone to the misbehavior. As a safety feature, the unit automatically shuts off and correction is stopped if a button is pressed and held for 10 seconds. To protect your dog, please observe the following safety precautions: Never leave the collar on your dog for more than 12 hours at one time. Pressure Necrosis, which can severely irritate a dog s skin, is caused by extended pressure of the probes on skin, along with oil/dirt that accumulates on the probes. Check daily for skin irritation. Only use the Remote Trainer on healthy dogs, ages 6 months and older. Consult your veterinarian before using if your dog has health problems. Check collar fit each time you place collar on your dog– the collar must be fitted properly to work effectively. If the collar probes are not making complete contact with the dog s skin, the trainer will not work to its full effectiveness. Always use the lowest stimulation possible to train your dog.

Unlike other dog training systems, the Havahart® Remote Dog Trainer can be used with two dogs when you purchase this Extra Collar. The Remote Trainer Extra Collar works only with the Havahart® Remote Dog Trainer.

Control Barking and Correct Misbehavior

The Havahart® Remote Dog Trainer allows you to teach your dog to follow your commands or correct nuisance behaviors such as jumping on counters or furniture, digging, chewing or barking excessively.

Train Two Dogs at the Same Time

Individual Collars can be set to different correction levels to match the age, size and temperament of each dog. A Dog Selector toggle switch on the handheld Remote allows you to issue corrections to the dogs separately. A digital readout on the Remote indicates which Collar you are operating and the correction level for that Collar.

Issue Corrections Indoors or Outdoors, at Distances Up to 100 Yards

The Remote Dog Trainer gives you the flexibility to train your dogs inside or outdoors. The Collars respond to the handheld remote at a distance of 100 yards. The Remote Dog Trainer Collar issues six levels of correction—Tone-Only and five Static corrections. When you press the Warning button, the Collar emits an audible tone that your dog will quickly associate with the negative behavior. For some dogs, the sound alone is enough of a reminder and deterrent. If the tone alone doesn t stop your dog s misbehavior, a Static correction may be needed to control barking and other negative behavior.

Consistent Training Is Important

Proper training is the key to the success of the Remote Dog Trainer. Your dog must first recognize the behavior you are trying to correct or reinforce. You should plan to spend 10-15 minutes, two to three times a day, 5 days a week training your dog.

System Safety Features & Other Precautions

Havahart® makes your dog s safety the top priority. Before using the System, be sure to read all important safety reminders to make sure you can adhere to the recommendations:

Safety Time-Out Feature- Static correction is limited to 10 seconds to protect your dog. If the Correction button is pressed and held for 10 seconds, the unit automatically turns off and the correction stops.

Only use the Havahart® Remote Dog Trainer on healthy dogs older than six months and weighing more than eight pounds. Consult your veterinarian before using the Collar if your dog has health problems.

Avoid using the Collar for more than 12 hours at one time, as recommended by veterinarians. The extended pressure of the Probes on the dog s skin and the oil and dirt that might accumulate on the Probes can cause pressure necrosis—a severe irritation of the dog s skin.

Check your dog daily for skin irritation and do not use the Collar if the skin is irritated.

Check Collar fit at each use. The Collar will not work effectively if it is not fitted properly. The Probes should make complete contact with your dog s skin or training and results will not be effective.

Always use the lowest stimulation needed to train your dog.
