This leather Journal is designed specifically to fit Field Notes brand notebooks (3.5" x 5.5") and comes with a pen holder tucked inside for a clean aesthetic. The Journal comes with 1 Field Notes notebook, but the pen is not included. Alternatively, you can use it as a passport wallet and store your credit cards or business cards. Will also fit Moleskine notebooks (3.5" x 5.5"). It was inspired by the classic, minimal designs of decades past. Handcrafted in the USA so it s built to last. We use only the finest full grain vegetable tanned leather from big North American steers. Less than 10% of the world s leather is produced this way. Because we use only the highest quality full grain leather, it is rich in character and the surface is natural. This means you may see naturally occurring small scars, creases, and striations. These minor markings are not flaws, they are features and a hallmark of premium leather. No two hides are identical. So you may notice some color variation throughout the product. You can expect the leather to be slightly stiff right out of the box but it will soften and quickly break-in. Through routine use, the leather will also develop scratches and a rich patina. This is all normal and will ensure that your journal has a beautiful, unique and deep character to its appearance. Like a fine wine, this journal will only get better with age.
