Each model starts out as 4 inch square metal sheets and you simply pop out the pieces using wire cutters and follow the included directions to assemble your model. This 50th Anniversary Gold Edition is of the USS Enterprise NCC-1701 a Federation Constitution class heavy cruiser that was in service with the Starfleet in the mid to late 23rd century. In the course of her career, the Enterprise became the most celebrated starship of her time. Captained by James T. Kirk she was destroyed over the Genesis Planet in 2285 when Kirk activated the ship s auto destruct sequence to prevent the Enterprise form falling into the hands of the Klingons. The model is 5x2.4x2.4 inches when assembled. Difficulty level: Moderate. No glue or solder needed.
