The Champion Cooler N28W Evaporative Cooler is designed for use in dry, arid climates. Un-like an air-conditioner unit using Freon and using excessive energy to cool, this heavy-duty cooler draws air from outside into the cooler and by the evaporation of water inside the unit allows the blower to push cool air into the room. They can lower indoor temperatures by as much as 15-20 Degree F. Evaporative coolers have low installation/maintenance costs; use 75% less electricity; no ozone damaging refrigerants. The water saturated pads act as a type of filter, removing dust and allergens from the air. Includes direct drive 2-speed motor, installation kit and leveling leg. Cabinet made from heavy-gauge galvanized steel to resist weather and impact. All metal surfaces treated for corrosion with electrostatically-applied UV-stabilized polyester powder finish.
