Soft, floral aroma quickly comes to the fore when enjoying this fine raw Pu-erh. The soft complexity of this tea produces a light, approachable brew. Pu-erh tea is made in the Lancang River region in the southern and western parts of the Yunnan Province. Its raw material consist of fresh, large leaves from tea trees called Camellia Sinensis Assamica. Raw Puerh is naturally stored without going through the process of wet piling, or fermentation. These leaves are sun dried and typically compressed. The result: a clear and bright yellow tea water, a fresh and pure aroma with a strong hui gan, or returning sweetness, and a flavor that is wilder than ripe Pu-erh. After several years storage, the wildness of the tea is mellower, with a strong elegant fragrance. High quality Raw Pu-erh is like a fine wine; the longer it s stored, the stronger the aroma and vitality of the tea, and the value increases over the years.
