With a dimensional tolerance of +/- 0.03mm your 3D Pen will run smoothly and with 20ft of each color you will have plenty of PLA to play with. PLA (Polylactic Acid) is made from renewable sources, such as corn starch or sugar cane. It is biodegradable but has similar properties to other non-biodegradable plastics such as polypropylene and polyethylene. It is one of two popular plastics used in 3D printing, the other being ABS aka Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene. PLA has a lower print temperature than ABS which makes it easier to print with and less prone to warping. It also produces a glossier finish and finer details.
