The Datalogic GD4130-BKK1 Gryphon barcode reader is black, is handheld, comes with a USB cable, and can be used to scan and decode linear one-dimensional (1D) barcodes. The barcode reader contains CCD (charge-coupled device) light sensors that can scan barcodes at a speed of up to 325 scans per second in continuous mode, and can read barcodes with elements as thin as 3 mils (3 thousandths of an inch). CCD barcode scanners are typically more accurate than laser scanners and more resistant to wear. A green spot can help the user aim the barcode reader for accuracy. A 42-degree scan angle enables the barcode reader to read wide barcodes. The barcode reader s USB cable can be plugged into the USB port of a computer or another host system (sold separately) to transmit barcode data. The barcode reader weighs 6 oz. and measures 7.1 x 2.8 x 3.9 inches (H x W x D).
