Volume 3 of Alan Silvestri Cosmos soundtrack music premieres on CD with bonus tracks! As with Volumes 1 & 2, Silvestri melds powerful symphonic sequences with intimate lines, sometimes enveloping them in rich swirling strings, other times enrobing them in lively electronic rhythms. Third volume gives emphasis to music scored for third episode of series. Amongst numerous highlights: warm theme for "Physical State Of The Stars" with noble French horns supporting strings, rich major chord harmonies throughout; sinewy oboe line and surging horns with strings leading to dynamic trombone figure in "The Way We Live Now"; powerful orchestral climax for closing "Halley s Comet". As with Volumes 1 & 2, Intrada release of Volume 3 on CD premieres bonus tracks not available anywhere else.
