To ensure that the machine operates properly, make sure to fill the water reservoir with no more than to MAX indicator to prevent spillages. Placing K-Cup or provided permanent coffee ground filter into the receptacle by aligning the "front" of the filter and the receptacle facing the user to prevent coffee grains from getting into the coffee cup. - The unit is equipped with an overheat protection feature.
