How do you change the mode? When you turn on the board you are automatically in Beginner Mode which has a max speed of 20km/h. Advanced Mode has max 40km/h.
To switch between modes, hold the joystick forward as you turn on the remote and wait till the lights on and let go of the button and joystick.
You can hear the difference between the two speeds if you lift your board off the ground and listen to the motor.
When you turn it off, it will always go back to Beginner Mode. Get use to always turning it off while changing the modes.
