The Rifle Gaff opens up new opportunities in sport and tactical shooting in a way that no other aiming device offers. Providing the use of almost any diameter tree or sapling or soft object for a rock steady aiming support, as well as cover from game or in tactical conditions. No need to lie down in the soil to use a bipod or carry an aiming stick which is less steady. In hunting or shooting in tree covered terrain, the odds of having a tree in front of you with a limb protruding at just the right height to use as a rest are slim. The Rifle Gaff solves this issue. Designed in many respects like a tree climbing gaff, only with a few improvements. The Rifle Gaff does not protrude outward to far from the rifle rail so as to impede with ease of carry. The actual protrusion outward from the picatinny base is a mere ¾ inch. The Rifle Gaff has a wide blade to block excessive penetration in order to help keep the tree from contacting the rifle rail or barrel, yet holds fast. It is designed to hold and release with very little to no effort, allowing for recoil. For right handed shooters, mount the Gaff on the left. For left handed shooters, mount the Gaff on the right, or have two Gaffs, one for each side. With the Gaff imbedded into a tree and a slight amount of forward shoulder pressure to the butt-stock your cross-hairs will be on target!
